Finding Square Roots

I’m going to show you how to find the square root of 19. First you find the two perfect squares beside 19. The two perfect squares would be 16 and 25. It would be 16 and 25 because 4*4=16 and 5*5=25. Then you look to see which perfect square root is closer to 19. It would be 16 because it’s two away from 19. Now, that you know that it will either be 4.1, 4.2, 4.3, or 4.4. After, that you add 4.5 to 16 that equals to 20.5. At this point, you make a time line and you put 16 at the beginning and put 20.5 in the middle and at the end put 25. So now it will be in the middle of 16 and 20.5. So think for a second if your looking 19 where do you think you would find it on a time line? Would it either be 4.1, 4.2, 4.3, or 4.4? So put 4.1, 4.2, 4.3, and 4.4 in order in the middle of 16 and 20.5. So which decimal is where be? I think it would 4.3 because I think that’s where 19 would be. Hope I helped you.
